Silence echoes across the land
Life had turned to dust
Grief and sorrow in my hand
Souls float over a broken crust
World's ceased to exist
Why am i the only one left here?
Of the disease they couldn't resist
Why would my soul not disappear?
II.Im the reason
I've come to realize
That the plague's inside
I should've been more wise
I'm the season
Voices and broken dreams
Fill the atmosphere
I hear their haunting screams
I'm the reason
If only i'd known
This before
Would i end my life to
Be the cure
I have become (All fall down)
The destroyer of worlds
I black out the sun (They all fall down)
I am the darkness
I stand here on my own
With no where to hide
From what I've come to know
I'm the season
With every step I take
The nightmare closes in
There's nothing left to fake
I'm the reason
If only i'd known
This before
Would i end my life to
Be the cure
I have become (All fall down)
The destroyer of worlds
I black out the sun (They all fall down)
I am the darkness that feeds upon your light
III.The Darkness inside
All of this time
The darkness lived inside of me
Out of sight and mind
It ends all life that's come to be
I didn't choose
To breathe to kill, this life of sin
It ends tonight
Tomorrow breaths a bright new day
I am the darkness that feeds
Upon your light
IIII.Home
I set to sail
On my final journey
Voyage to the sun
To kill whats inside me
Now I look back
At the world I've destroyed
My heart is black
Vague and devoid
I'm leaving behind
What could've been home
Once this is done
There'll be a new dawn
I offer you now
This world, anew
I have the answer
I found the truth
The life road begins
When this journey ends
The past is behind
And i am again
Upon a
Lonely
Planet
Pure and
Flawless
This will be my home

The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022

Billed as the masters of symphonic prog this album is an interesting of styles and influences. Folky in parts, rocky in others.
Vocals are good and male for a change. Both lyrics and music are involving and all in all this album is a good listen.
I will be looking at The Gift's other offerings. Russell Whyman
